There are three different types of rocks one is called igneous rock. Igneous rock is formed when molten rock cool down and becomes solid. Another one is called sedimentary rock. Sedimentary rock is formed by when pieces of rock ,plants, and minerals plus other loose materials get pressed or cemented together. vol_canFinally there is metamorphic rock. Metamorphic rock is formed when heat or pressure causes older rocks to change form into new types of rocks.

When rocks change that means that are raised up to the surface and that they will be broken down to pieces. Which in fact turns into sedimentary. Durning time, the sedimentary might become a sedimentary rock. Then when rocks are near or are at the surface area pushed deeper into the earth and then later they cool down .then even later it transformers into an igneous rock. then when years pass by it starts to change.

All three types of rocks are found in the earth’s crust. Not all of these are not evenly distributed.95 percent of earth’s crust consists igneous rock metamorphic rock .Only 5 percent of earth’s crust is made up of sedimentary rock. That is the rock cycle.

The Three Types of Rock Cycle

Igneous RockThere are three types of rocks.  One of them is the igneous rock it forms when molten rocks cools and become solid.  From under the surface or on the surface the igneous rock can form.  Igneous rock are referred to intrusive or extrusive depending in where they form.  You can see the extrusive  igneous rock at the Earth’s surface but, the intrusive igneous rock forms within Earth.  Another type of rock is the sedimentary rock it forms when pieces of minerals and rocks, plants, and other loose materials get pressed or cemented together.  The last type of rock is the metamorphic rock it forms when heat or pressure causes older rocks to change into new types of rocks.

Rocks can change into other types of rocks when rocks ae raised to the surface.  Water and wind can break them down into sediments.  Sometimes the sediments might become sedimentary rocks.  The rocks might become metamorphic rocks if the rocks at or near the surface are pushed deeper into the crust.  They might also melt and mountains are forming rocks can be raised up or pushed deeper in the mountains.

All three types of rocks are found in the Earth’s crust.  The three rock types aren’t evenly distributed.  The sedimentary rock forms a thin covering on Earth’s surface wich makes up 5% of the crust.  The igneous and metamorphic rock consists most of Earth’s crust which is 95%.metamorphic rock
