When i first came here to Chalone Peaks as a six grader i was not really prepared. I was really good in Math but not so good in Language Arts. My friend Victor helped me a lot with things i didn’t understand and he still does. What surprised me the most about six grade was that now we were the smallests ones. That surprised me the most because in fifth grade we were the biggest ones.

The areas I’m the best at right now are Math and History. The areas i needed help with were Language Arts. The technology i enjoyed were using computers and lap tops. I enjoyed the computers and lap tops because it is easier to do most of the projects on. My advice to the new six graders is to not fall behind in any thing because then it is really hard to catch up.

Hello new 6th graders. Are you prepared for Chalone Peaks. Well if your not prepare yourself. 6th grade isn’t like elementary school. Teachers will expect more from you. Just one slip up and your going to meet Mr. Sierra. You don’t what to meet him. I came in to school with a great skill in math and came out of school with a greater math skill. Your might be math or not, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t try your best at school. Just try to do the best you do and don’t goof around and you’ll pass the school year. The friends that helped me out this year was my teachers. They put more knowledge in my brain. Maybe the thing that is going to surprise you is that Chalone Peaks does awesome school activities all year long!!!

Now that 6th grade passed I’m getting prepared for my 7th grade by learning what my teachers taught me. The area I was strongest at was Math. The I need help in this year was Language Arts & History. Now those subjects are hard for me. The technology here is so awesome. I really like Moodle: a website that you can interact with other students. The advice I give to you is to try hard and never give up.

Dear 6th Grader, To be honest with you I wasn’t very prepared. That doesn’t mean you don’t come prepared also. I wrote the draft for this letter in a black color pencil. Almost every day I had to tell people to let me borrow a pencil. I am pretty good at Math and Science. Victor helped me throughout the year. Timothy helped me in History and so did Dusty. Marcos helped me in Language Arts. Jesus helped me in history assignments. Christian helped me in ELA. I thought I was going to be good at Language Arts, but it turns out I am not very good at it.

I think I am going to be good in math and science.I had to work really hard in History. I enjoyed the Moodle because you can check homework, do assignments, and chat with friends how cool is that. Some advice that I will give you is to never give up and try your best and Stay out of trouble.

We saw the Persians arrive from on top of the hills. There was hundreds of boats sailing to Marathon. We were already prepared for this intense war. We were prepared to protect Greece.

First Phrase of the Intense Battle

The Persians waited for us to attack, but we stayed patient. Days and nights had passed and they still hadn’t ordered them to attack. Then the next night they made a crucial mistake. The commander ordered a large group of Persians to sail to Athens to destroy it. That’s when it happened. We attacked. We Athenians and a small amount of Plataeans went in three groups. The left and right group attacked the Persians. They had left the water a dark red color from all the blood taken out of the soldiers. Bodies floating all around shore. While we attacked the other group lead the Persians backward. Then we all surrounded them.

The remaining of the Persians the battle ships, but we killed all of those enemies. Then all the boats retreated back home. We had won that war. A couple of years later we had had news about another invasion of Persia. We had been informed that Darius had started to train a huge army. But then he died and Xerxes his son had started to begin preparations for the next invasion. Now this time the Persians will have a bigger army.

Not everyone was agreeing to the ideas of Confucius. The only true model was the natural order. People argued about that model.

Still others believed to restore order was the best way. They made people obey these, and they would have to force them if they didn’t. These ideas were known as Legalism.

These were based on the writings of Hanzfeizi. Hanzfeiez said “Forget the ideas of the past.” The ruler must trust no one and punish anyone who disobeys or preforms poorly. To Confucius, not everyone would agree to what his ideas were, because there were also followers of Daosim.

Actually if the religon Confuciansm was still being tuaght it would be satysfing. everyone would know the sense of duty. Family wouldn’t fight one single time. Cousin’s would act like cousins. A family member would see if there family each and everyone is gleeful. Confuciansm would also make the gangs and violence disappear. The gangsterz would know about the sense of duty. No one would know what violence would be. Confuciansm would be something wonderful. Just think of the peace their would be in our small world.

For this weeks word problem I picked number five. ( Question) How many quarts are in 8 gallons. First the thing that helped me sove this question was because the gallon man I have in my note book. Step 1) First, you know that their are 4 quarts in 1 gallon.

Step2) You want to find it for 8 gallons so you multiply 4 ( cause that is how many quarts there are in one gallon) and 8 ( because that is how much gallons there are) It equals 32. So there are 32 quarts in 8 gallons.

For this weeks Math word problem, I chose Number Five, [25- (-7) + 12] + (-15) x 5. First you have to do whatever is inside the brakets. So 25 – -7, L(leave) C(Change) O(Opposite). So using the LCO it will be like this 25 + +7= 32. Up next, you add 12 and 32 giving you a sum of… uhh 44. YAY! we cleared what is in the brakets. you have 44 + (-15). you don’t use the leave change and opposite because that is only on subtraction. Let me tell you somethin’ you are adding or I am adding a positive number with a nagative number so its sort of subtracting, but we still don’t use the LCO. Lets do the question 44 + -15 I got 29. We don’t put it as a negative because the positive number is greater than the negative number. you understand? if not then tell Mrs. Judd. All we have To do is multiply 29 and 5. lets find the answer……… I got 145. I think that is the answer. Okay Bye
